Dragon2000 to Partner Chester Rally Week Forum Event 2016

25th August 2016

Dragon2000 are pleased to announce that for the second year in succession they will be sponsoring the annual Rally Forum Event on Wednesday the 26th October, this year held during Chester Rally Week.

Staged the night before the start of the Dayinsure Wales Rally GB, which takes place over the 27th to the 30th of October, the annual Pre-Rally Forum has proved to be great hit since its introduction in 2013, with over £10,000 being raised for various charities throughout the years.

With this year’s rally marking the penultimate round of the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship, a whole host of star-studded guests are expected to be in attendance at the Forum evening, with the likes of Sebastian Ogier, Petter Solberg and Ari Vatanen having all been present in recent times.

Staged at the home of Colin McRae’s infamous 1995 WRC victory at Chester racecourse, the Forum not only gives rally fans an insight into Wales Rally GB and brings them closer to the special guest speakers of the evening, but it is also serves as a platform to raise funds for worthwhile causes, with this year’s chosen charities being the North West Air Ambulance and the Down Syndrome Association.

Supplying management systems to the motor trade and being just a few miles from Silverstone, we have a company-wide interest in motorsport, and with our Managing Director Mark Cooper having been a keen rally driver for many years, this event was a natural choice for Dragon2000 to support.

Speaking about the annual event helping charities, Mark said: “Without the quick actions of the Air Ambulance, things would have turned out very differently for my navigator Mike Hughes after a serious rally crash – although not in one of my cars!

“I really can’t believe that such a fantastic service survives on charitable donations alone.”

We are delighted to lend our support to what promises to be an amazing evening.

Tickets for the event go on sale on the 1st September.
