18-Year Veteran’s View on DragonDMS

At July’s Leaders Workshop we were joined by one of our longest-serving customers in the form of Richard Hill, Service Manager at Evesham Motor Services (EMS).

Based in Worcestershire, EMS first become a DragonDMS customer back in 2012 when they took over from Breedon Motors and Dave Loudon Cars and opted to continue with the trusted Dealer Management System that was already in place.

In terms of longevity though, EMS have some way to go until they can match their Service Manager’s association with the system.

On his long-standing use of DragonDMS, Richard said: “I first started using the system in about 1998 in one of my previous workshops, so it’s fair to say I have a reasonable amount of experience with it.

“Inevitably, the system nowadays is quite a lot different to the one I originally used. I have always found it very simple and intuitive to use though.”

A family run garage, EMS continues to grow with the help of DragonDMS and their experienced Service Manager Richard who has used the system right throughout his career.

Richard, who has been with EMS since the start, was pleased to see his current workshop opt for DragonDMS as their choice of system, not least because he has seen how DragonDMS has progressed over the years.

Although there have been a whole host of improvements made to our software in recent times, Richard was in no doubt as to which feature had benefitted him the most in his line of work.

He said: “On a personal level, the cloud hosted backups are the feature that I have found most useful.

“Organising the back up of our data used to be my responsibility and it was a lot of pressure. The cloud hosting facility has taken a lot of that weight off my shoulders and given me one less job to worry about.”
