July’s Leaders Workshop

Dragon2000 welcomed business leaders, directors and senior managers to its offices recently for July’s free Leaders Workshop.

Hosted on a monthly basis, our Leaders Workshop is designed to introduce key business personnel to features within DragonDMS that they may not be currently using to their full potential within their dealerships or workshops.

As usual with our Leaders Workshops, we welcomed a variety of businesses, from Service Centres to Classic Car Restorers and Used Car Specialists, all of whom came from far and wide across the country.

Elliot Staddon, Sales Manager at GKS of Ivybridge (a Used Car Specialist from Devon), had been keen to attend one of our Leaders Workshops for a while now and explained why.

He said: “We’ve been using DragonDMS for about five years, but so far we have only really been using it to its full potential within the sales department.

“I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time so we can see how we could utilise the software within the service department, especially the CRM module.”

As well as focusing on the key components of our Dealer Management System, we also discussed with business leaders the improvements that they could make to their business by utilising our other available technology; Dragon APPraise, Dragon2000 built websites and our workshop clocking system.

Michael Watkins, Sales Manager at Independent Porsche Specialists Cridfords, was pleasantly surprised to learn just how much Dragon2000 had to offer when it came to improving his business.

On their current use of the software, he said: “To be honest, we only really use DragonDMS at the moment to keep track of stock and invoice customers, so today has been great in showing us what else we could be doing to further our business.”

After our free mobile app Dragon APPraise had been demonstrated, Michael was particularly interested by the ability to record sales videos of cars and send them directly to his customers.

On our mobile app, he said: “APPraise looks brilliant and perfect for us. At the moment we do videos but they can often take up to half a day with the way we are currently doing them.”

As our business leaders started to head home following their one-to-one meetings with Dragon2000 support staff and management, Magdalena Jurkola from Horton Cars was quick to praise the nature of the day.

On her first experience of a Leaders Workshop, she said: “The day was so productive, me and Graham (the owner) learnt a whole host of new features within DragonDMS.

“We are already looking forward to getting back and putting them into practice.”

Michael Watkins, from Cridfords, added: “Today has been great in showing us what else we could be doing to further our business.”
