What Did Dragon2000 Cover At The 2025 Dealer Conference?
At Dragon2000’s Dealer Conference last week, our team put together a variety of presentations to guide the car dealers and garages in attendance through our products and features that have been designed to improve their daily processes, saving their businesses time and increasing profits.
After a brief introduction, new and upcoming features in the DragonDMS dealer management system were presented, focusing on our web-based platform that lets car dealers manage their vehicle sales from their internet browser, our two-way text message service that lets you receive text replies into the DMS, and our email integration that synchronises every email account used to communicate with your customers, keeping all of your messages together and conveniently in one place.
Other features highlighted were the ability to attach documents to your invoices and order forms, initial lead management using automated responses with required attachments (such as terms and conditions), tailored service and MOT reminders so you can decide when and how you remind customers, automatic vehicle stock management using Auto Trader pricing, and daily MOT data updates so the dates in your system are always accurate.
It was also highlighted that the Workshop App now has a new geofencing feature to ensure staff are physically onsite when clocking onto jobs, protecting garages from having their data changed by late or absent technicians.
The entire Workshop App will soon be available to use within your desktop browser, making access to the app even more convenient for service advisors if they are near a computer and would prefer opening it on their desktop. This can also allow for both the DragonDMS and Workshop App to be open simultaneously on the same screen, making administrative tasks easier to perform for workshop controllers, such as booking in work and preparing invoices.
The next presentation was an overview of our web-based car sales platform, as we showed dealers how they can perform key tasks from their internet browser, such as managing their sales activity and customer leads, adding vehicles into stock and advertising online, editing vehicle images, viewing their key website analytics, plus accessing business performance reports and their accounts.
Dragon2000’s car dealer websites were then discussed, with a presentation highlighting the importance of switching to a website that is fully integrated with your dealer management system and the time-saving benefits for dealerships and garages.
Our presentation covered how you can attract customers to your Dragon2000 website with online adverts and good SEO practices, how to convert car buyers into customers and build trust once they’ve landed on your website, and how to increase transactions on your website with e-commerce opportunities.
In the afternoon, our focus turned to aftersales as we looked at how garages and service centres can use the DragonDMS to improve their efficiencies with workshop planning tools, such as colour coding jobs and their status for easy viewing and how to set up and manage MOT bays.
We also discussed the upselling opportunities that DragonDMS users can take advantage of, including sending automated text message reminders ahead of an MOT due date and adding an online service booking form to their Dragon2000 dealer website that allows customers to book themselves into the workshop, with your team only needing to confirm the customer’s appointment if you can accommodate their request.
Our final presentation saw us explore the Workshop App and how this can be used to further assist garages and service centres that are looking to improve their daily processes. We looked at the key benefits, such as technicians being able to view their workload and clock on and off tasks with digital job cards, all remotely from their mobile device without needing to run back and forth between clocking machines or a computer.
Dragon2000’s dealer conference was then concluded with an insightful Q&A session and networking period, allowing the car dealers and garages in attendance to ask our team and guest speakers any questions as we discussed how they can get the most out of their DragonDMS dealer management system.
The next dealer conference from Dragon2000 is already being planned and we will provide our software users with more details at the earliest opportunity.
