Here at Dragon2000 we understand the importance of maintaining a relationship with our customers, just like dealers using our Dealer Management System should with their own customers.
To practice what we preach we have in recent months been inviting all of our existing customers to visit our offices to take part in our exclusive Leaders Workshops.
We hold these one day events (which are free to attend) to introduce dealer Directors and Senior Managers to the key features included within their DragonDMS software that may not be currently used to their full potential within their businesses.
The groups of dealers at these events are kept relatively small, so that everyone attending can participate in discussions and get the maximum value out of the day. It is also an opportunity to network with other dealers, and meet our Support Team, who are always excited to meet customers in person that they have spoken to in the past on the phone – it is always nice to put faces to names.
We also hold one-to-one meetings in the afternoon where dealers can discuss any specific areas they’d like to explore with members of the Dragon2000 management team away from the open group.
We address areas such as how to carry out effective sales prospecting, the importance of customer relationship management, website and social media advertising and how to track and improve workshop efficiencies. We also give dealers a sneak-peak at exciting new developments we are working on to get their feedback.
If dealers’ salespeople are spending a lot of time loading stock onto various advertisers or the dealer’s own websites this can become a mammoth task, which vastly reduces their ability to carry out targeted prospecting and progressing enquiries. Having one point of data entry is essential, and we explain how integrated websites and mobile apps which link live to the software can give dealers precious hours back to spend making deals happen.
We have one particular statistic that seems to have hit home with dealers with workshops, that if they increase one technician’s efficiency by one hour per day, if charged out at £70 per hour retail, that equates to £18,200 extra labour sales per year. Then multiply that by the number of technicians.. It is also the same with up-selling just one hour of labour per technician, per day – same extra profit generated.
DragonDMS 2016 gives dealers the management information to highlight areas that can be improved, but it is up to the leaders of that business to act upon that information and drive efficiency rates up and implement process changes. Our Leaders Workshops aren’t training; as we work with a wide range of dealers we are able to identify common areas that can be improved and recommend relatively easy process changes, but only if championed back at the dealership, can they result in a significant and sustained increase in profitability.
The Leaders Workshop was brilliant, absolutely essential for anyone running a business.
