Dragon2000 Announce New Mobile App to Improve Workshop Efficiency

Dragon2000 are excited to reveal their brand new Workshop app product, which is sure to revolutionise the day to day running of garages and service departments. Fully integrated with the DragonDMS Dealer Management System, the new app allows you to gain full control of your workshop, which in turn helps to improve efficiencies and workshop profit.
Available for devices on both the Apple Store and Google Play, the Workshop app provides real-time attendance and job tracking, which means you can monitor labour efficiencies and have all the information at your fingertips to make decisions and improvements.
Improving service efficiencies means that more work can be booked into the workshop, which therefore increases the number of hours invoiced out in a day – resulting in an increase in labour sales.
The new app has a host of essential features, including:
Digital Job Cards
Eliminating the need to give out paper job cards, your technicians will have their workload set out on their mobile device. Clocking on and off labour lines and service jobs is a simple tap of the app, and technicians can even opt to use voice control on their mobile device to add spoken notes to job card lines which will translate it to text, or they can type them in manually.
Via the Dashboard, job tasks can be assigned to technicians, and also edited, added and ordered to help keep workshop loading manageable at all times. If any tasks fall behind schedule, you’ll instantly receive a notification alerting you to this and be able to act accordingly, which is ideal for ensuring productivity is maintained even when you’re not in the workshop.
Vehicle Health Checks
VHC’s can be carried out on the Workshop app, which includes the capability to attach images and videos made by technicians highlighting any vehicle issues. VHC videos sent to the customer explaining exactly what the issues are create more trust with your business, while also providing you with a great opportunity to upsell required work.
Not knowing what the issue is with a vehicle and how to fix it can prove to be a stressful situation in the garage, which is why the Workshop app can provide fault codes with a list of possible causes, thanks to the optional integration with Autodata. This feature is a key time saver for technicians and allows a quick turnaround in the time taken to diagnose and repair the more complex vehicle issues.
Using the app’s interactive condition reports, you can pinpoint the location and size of any vehicle damage. Ideal for use on vehicles being left with you for service or repair work, or for courtesy cars given to customers whilst their vehicle is in the workshop, images and videos can also be added when highlighting damage on the vehicle, to help avoid any customer disputes regarding condition.
