If you chose to open the file from the link, try saving it to your computer instead and then double clicking it after it has downloaded.

If that doesn't help, please advise at what point during install you get the message.

Are you involving a network in any way?  Installing from or to another computer?  Or using any kind of remote control software?

I have downloaded it from the link and have an icon on my desktop. When I double click I get an set up wizard, I start the set up/install process, agree to the license agreement but then get the problem. I am not in a network.

The error message means that you do not have a C: drive.  Which while possible under Windows 2000 or XP is highly unlikely.
If you double click My Computer do any of your drives end in (C:) ?

That's correct, I had a new hard drive so it's called the G Drive. I guessed this was probably the problem but don't know how to solve it.

Unfortunately our software requires a C: drive.

I doubt you would be able to change your G: drive to C: without reinstalling Windows.

You could create a partition on your drive called C: using Partition Magic.  A partition is a way of creating multiple virtual drives on a single drive so that your computer thinks you have more hard disks than you actually do.

If you are unfamiliar with either of the above procedures then you should consult a local computer engineer as you risk losing the contents of your disk if you are not careful.

Hi!

I get the same error message, at the same point.  I have the install .exe on my desktop, which is on Drive "ACER (C:)".  I double click it.  I agree to one or two things (English language, license agreement), and then it tells me "The drive or UNC share you selected does not exist or is not accessible. Please select another."

I also have a drive (D:) which I was trying to install from/on before, but with your hints above, I moved the install file to C: and tried from there, with the same results.

I guess I'll try defragmenting my drive in case that helps anything, but if you can give me an additional clue, I'll be grateful!

Blessings,
EB

Please try creating a folder called DragonSE on your C: drive and then try running the setup program again.

To do this:
double click My Computer
double click Acer (C:) *
click the file menu at the top and choose New -> Folder
type DragonSE and press [Enter]

(* for the benefit of anyone else with this problem, this is usually called Local Disk (C:))
